| Youth Page |
Welcome to our youth page. This is where we will be telling you the different activities and projects that the youth in our church are involved in. We are an outreach towards teens in the church and teens in the community. We meet every Sunday morning for the Youth Sunday School class. It is from 9:30 - 10:30. It is awesome. We are taught many different subjects of the Bible. It is made interesting to learn and easy to remember. This is also where we plan the many things we do! More recently we have started to have Youth Services on some Wednesday evenings. One of us charimans the service, leads in the congregational song, and such. But everyone is welcome and included, even the seasoned folks! Some of our Youth are blessed to sing in the Youth Choir, it is such a blessing to visit elderly and other congregations to bring encouragement. They also sing at our home congregation too.
*We are currently updating the youth page. Please keep that in mind as you view content below*
Activities
There are many youth-oriented outings that that we have, as well as our annual Carowinds trip (see below for the latest Carowinds trip). We enjoy having Game Nights- getting together just to hang out and play some games. It's also fun to go other places while having a spirit-filled time. Our most recent trips were to Boone where we went to Mystery Hill and site-seeing, and Tennesse where we went to Dollywood on Saturday and visited a congregation on Sunday for our Youth Choir to sing. God is with us everywhere we go and we thank Him!
Here are some of the pictures of the Game Nights, with some of the visitors that attended:
Mission Project
Our mission project this year (2011) was for hospice. We each brought in an item off of the wish list of a certain hospice center. They can always use items such as napkins, paper towels, tissues, etc.
In March of this year we held a bake sale to support a meeting. It was a burden of one of our youth and God really blessed. Most of the work for the bake sale was done by the youth, our youth leaders supported us, but wanted the youth to take charge with the project- teaching us to carry out our own burden. Looking at the amount that was baked, I never would have imagined we would raise so much. We woke up to a dreary rainy day, but God blessed us for walking on in faith and turned it into a sunny day. We divided into two locations, and after costs raised almost $500.00! Thank the Lord for supplying!

Youth Camp
From a Youth's perspective the Youth Camps that take place in White Pine, Tenn. are very enlightening physically, but more so spiritually. Yes, you get to see your friends, get to play games, and have fun, but the most important part is knowing that others your age go through the same things, and have the same battles. It is very comforting, knowing you are not alone. It may be hard to believe, but being our age is tough, and you will not be able to get through without God. Check the Youth Camp link on the home page to see some pictures, and a brief explanation about the meeting.
Thank You for Visiting!
God Bless!
